The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha announced a five‑day agitation starting Monday in Punjab, aiming to gherao the residences of Aam Aadmi Party ministers.

The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) has issued a notice of a five‑day protest that will commence on Monday across Punjab. The organization plans to encircle the homes of ministers belonging to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a central tactic of the agitation.

KMM officials said the demonstration is intended to press the state government on issues affecting farmers and laborers, though specific grievances were not detailed in the announcement. The protest will involve a series of rallies, road blockades and the targeted gherao of ministerial residences.

Security arrangements have been heightened in the capital Chandigarh and other district headquarters where AAP ministers reside. Police have warned that any attempt to breach the law will be met with strict action, while KMM has urged participants to remain peaceful.

The five‑day schedule will conclude on Friday, after which KMM will assess the response from the government and decide on further steps. No arrests have been reported so far, and the situation remains under close observation by local authorities.
