Anganwadi workers from various child‑care centres in Khowai, Tripura, presented a seven‑point charter of demands to the Chief District Planning Officer (CDPO) earlier today.
The charter, which outlines seven key demands, was submitted at the CDPO office in Khowai. The workers, who are frontline staff in the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) programme, seek better wages, improved working conditions and enhanced support for their roles.
The submission marks a formal step by the Anganwadi workforce to engage with district authorities and advocate for changes that would benefit both the workers and the children they serve.
