The trust managing the Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple has appealed to authorities for improved railway connectivity to accommodate growing numbers of devotees.
The Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple Trust has formally requested that railway authorities consider enhancing train services and station facilities near the shrine. The appeal comes as the number of pilgrims visiting the historic temple in Rajasthan’s Sikar district continues to rise, especially during festive seasons.
The trust argues that better rail links would reduce road congestion, lower travel costs for devotees, and promote safer journeys from major cities such as Delhi, Jaipur and Bhopal.
Officials from the trust indicated they are prepared to collaborate with Indian Railways and the state transport department to identify feasible routes, additional stoppages, and possible shuttle services from the nearest railway station to the temple complex.
If approved, the proposed improvements could see new daily trains or extended halts at the Khatu station, providing a direct and comfortable option for the estimated tens of thousands of visitors each year.
