On September 20, 2026, Kesturu village celebrated its 13th Ganeshotsava by honoring line men from Kor and Chikkattolkere branches for their uninterrupted power service.
On 20 September 2026, Kesturu village in Karnataka marked the 13th edition of its Ganeshotsava celebrations with a ceremony to honor line men who ensure continuous electricity supply.
The event recognized line men from the Kor and Chikkattolkere Beskann branches for their round‑the‑clock maintenance, repairs and rapid response to power outages, irrespective of weather conditions.
The ceremony was presided over by Shri Shri Veerabhadra Shivacharya Swamijis, with junior engineer Shri Jayaram of Chikkattolkere, officials from the Beskann department, local villagers and the line men in attendance. The program was hosted by G. R. Ramamurthy.
Organizers highlighted the essential role of these workers in keeping electricity lines functional day and night, and a special commendation was presented to them. Netaji Brigade of Kesturu expressed heartfelt gratitude for their dedication to public service.
