Kerala Hospital to Pay ₹1.14 Lakh to Patient Over Fake Signature and Inflated Bill

A Kerala hospital has agreed to pay ₹1.14 lakh to a patient after an investigation revealed that a forged signature was used on a claim submitted to an insurer and the medical bill was inflated. The patient, who received treatment at the facility, had been billed significantly more than the actual cost of services. The hospital has confirmed that it will reimburse the patient for the excess amount and will also cover the cost of the fraudulent signature. Hospital officials said they are reviewing internal procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
