The Kerala Home Ministry has launched a new online portal allowing citizens to submit petitions directly to the ministry.
The Kerala Home Ministry has rolled out an online portal that lets citizens file petitions directly to the ministry.
Part of the state’s eGovernance strategy, the portal requires users to create an account, upload supporting documents, and track the status of their petitions in real time.
Before the launch, petitions were submitted in person at the ministry’s office or sent by post, a process that often caused delays. The new system is designed to streamline communication and cut turnaround time.
The ministry said the portal will also increase transparency, allowing users to see the progress and final decisions on their submissions.
Officials expect the initiative to boost citizen engagement and reduce the administrative load on ministry staff.
