KGSMA seeks probe into counterfeit hallmarked gold jewellery in Kerala. The issue has raised concerns about the authenticity of gold jewellery in the state.
The Kerala Gold and Silver Merchants Association (KGSMA) has sought a probe by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) into the sale of counterfeit hallmarked gold jewellery in Kerala. The association has raised concerns that some jewellers in the state are selling fake hallmarked gold jewellery, which can dupe customers. The KGSMA has urged the BIS to take immediate action to stop the sale of such jewellery.
