The National Crime Bureau (NCB) reported that a drug smuggler from the Kashmir region escaped custody on a recent day. The escape was discovered when the suspect failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. After a three‑day search, Punjab police arrested the individual in Punjab. The suspect was taken back to NCB for further investigation. Authorities are reviewing security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
