Kartikeya Shivraj, son of senior politician Shivraj, has been elected unopposed to lead the Madhya Pradesh Volleyball Association.
The Madhya Pradesh Volleyball Association (MPVA) announced that Kartikeya Shivraj has been elected as its president without any opposing candidates. The unopposed election reflects a smooth transition in the association's leadership.
Kartikeya Shivraj is the son of veteran politician Shivraj, and his entry into sports administration marks the family's first foray into volleyball governance. No other candidates were nominated for the post, leading to his unanimous appointment.
Observers note that his appointment could bring heightened visibility to the sport in the state, given his political lineage and potential access to resources. The MPVA has not released further details about his agenda or upcoming initiatives.
