Karnataka election officials have dispatched approximately 40 lakh notices to voters as part of the ongoing electoral roll revision exercise. So far, no names have been removed from the voter list.
The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer's office announced that around 40 lakh notices have been sent out to voters across the state as part of the regular electoral roll revision drive. The notices ask residents to verify their details and report any discrepancies.
Officials clarified that, despite the large outreach, no voter names have been deleted from the rolls at this stage. The exercise aims to ensure the accuracy and inclusiveness of the voter list ahead of upcoming elections.
The revision process is being monitored by the Election Commission of India, with teams deployed at district levels to assist citizens in updating their information. Citizens are encouraged to respond to the notices within the stipulated time.
Authorities said that after the verification period, any necessary corrections will be made, and the final updated roll will be published. They urged all eligible voters to participate actively to avoid any future issues.
