Karnataka Protesters Block Roads Against Bedti River Diversion Plan

In Karnataka, residents gathered at key junctions to oppose the government's proposed Bedti River diversion plan. Protesters, many farmers and community members, blocked traffic and displayed placards demanding the plan be halted. The state government has not yet issued a formal statement, but officials say they will review the concerns raised. Environmental groups warn that diverting the Bedti River could harm downstream ecosystems and water availability for agriculture.
