The Karnataka state counselling authority announced an addition of 100 seats at Government Medical College, Bagalkot for the second round of NEET‑UG 2026 admissions.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) released the latest update for the 2026 NEET‑UG counselling process, indicating that 100 additional seats have been made available at Government Medical College, Bagalkot for round‑2 admissions.
The extra seats are part of the state’s effort to accommodate the surplus of qualified candidates who missed out in the first round, and they will be allocated based on the candidates’ NEET rank, category and domicile as per existing guidelines.
Applicants who have already registered for the counselling can log into the official portal to view the updated seat matrix and submit their preferences before the round‑2 deadline, set for later this month. The KEA has urged candidates to verify their documents and complete the payment of admission fees to secure the newly released seats.
The addition does not affect the total intake of other medical colleges in Karnataka, and the KEA confirmed that similar adjustments may be considered for other institutions if demand warrants.
