Karnataka farmers are facing escalating losses as prolonged dry spells turn their crops into ash, with no relief on the horizon.
Karnataka farmers are grappling with severe losses as a prolonged drought turns their fields into barren landscapes. Business Today reports that the lack of rainfall has caused crops to wither, leaving farmers with little to harvest and mounting financial strain.
The state has seen a significant deficit in rainfall over the past months, disrupting planting schedules and reducing yields across major agricultural zones. Farmers are reporting that many of their crops have turned to ash, with no signs of imminent rainfall.
Agricultural officials have warned that the continued dry conditions could push more farmers into distress, as the loss of harvests directly impacts their livelihoods and the regional economy.
