The Karnataka government has invited Japanese firms to expand manufacturing operations and forge technology alliances in the state.

Bengaluru, Karnataka – The state government announced an open invitation to Japanese enterprises to scale up their manufacturing footprint and enter technology collaborations within Karnataka. The move is part of a broader effort to attract foreign direct investment and strengthen the state's position as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

Officials said the invitation targets sectors where Japanese expertise can complement local capabilities, including electronics, automotive components, and renewable‑energy technologies. By fostering joint research and development, the state aims to accelerate innovation and create high‑skill jobs.

The Economic Times reported that Karnataka will facilitate ease of doing business through streamlined approvals and incentives, hoping to translate the partnership into tangible economic growth for the region.
