Karan Johar Teams Up with Abhishek Varman for Mythological Superhero Film 'Gadadhari Bheem'

Karan Johar, the head of Dharma Productions, has confirmed a collaboration with director Abhishek Varman to launch a new feature film. The project, tentatively titled 'Gadadhari Bheem', is being positioned as a big‑budget venture that merges Indian mythological narratives with contemporary superhero storytelling.

Both filmmakers are known for handling large‑scale productions, and the partnership signals an ambitious attempt to create a pan‑Indian franchise that could compete with global superhero franchises. While specific casting and release details remain under wraps, the announcement underscores a growing trend of blending traditional folklore with modern visual effects.

Industry observers note that the film’s mythological superhero angle could attract audiences across linguistic and regional boundaries, potentially expanding the market for Indian‑made high‑concept cinema. Further updates are expected as the production moves into pre‑shoot phases.
