Karan Johar has announced that cricketers will not be invited to the final season of his talk show Koffee With Karan season 9. The decision aims to refresh the guest list for the show’s concluding edition.
Karan Johar, the host and producer of the popular celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, revealed that the upcoming ninth season will observe a strict “no cricketers” policy. The announcement was made by the entertainment portal iDiva, which cited the filmmaker’s intention to change the usual guest mix.
According to the report, the rule applies specifically to the final installment of the series, meaning that athletes from the cricket world will not appear as guests in any episode of season 9. Johar said he wants to explore new personalities and avoid repetition in the show’s closing chapter.
While the channel has not disclosed the full lineup for the season, the restriction signals a shift from previous editions that frequently featured cricketers alongside Bollywood stars. Fans and industry watchers are now speculating about which other fields might be highlighted in the concluding episodes.
