According to the allegations, Irfan misrepresented his marital status to the Thai woman, claiming he was unmarried at the time of their marriage. The complaint states that he subsequently defrauded her of ₹60 lakh. Furthermore, the accused is alleged to have exerted pressure on the victim to convert her religion after the marriage.
The case was registered at Anwar Ganj police station in Kanpur after the victim's family became involved in the dispute. Authorities have taken the businessman into custody to investigate the charges of fraud and deception.
