Kaif Urges India to Recruit Bowlers Like Shami Ahead of 2027 World Cup

Mohammad Kaif, a former Indian all‑rounder, urged the selectors to bring in fast bowlers with a skill set similar to Mohammad Shami for the 2027 World Cup. He said the team needs bowlers who can swing the ball and maintain pressure in the middle overs. Shami has been a key figure in India's bowling attack, consistently taking wickets in major tournaments. Kaif added that selectors should focus on pace bowlers who can bowl at 140‑150 km/h and deliver accurate yorkers. The call comes as India looks to strengthen its bowling lineup for the upcoming World Cup.
