Justice Bhatia Sworn In as Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

Justice Bhatia took the oath of office as the new Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, succeeding his predecessor.
In a formal ceremony at the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Bhatia was administered the oath of office, officially becoming the court's new chief justice. The event was attended by senior judges, court officials and representatives of the state administration.
The appointment, made by the President of India, comes after the retirement of the previous chief justice. Justice Bhatia, a senior judge of the same High Court, has been elevated to lead the judiciary of the two Union Territories.
As chief justice, he will oversee the administration of justice across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, preside over constitutional matters and guide the court's response to the region's unique legal challenges.
