The Jharkhand Tribal Students Association (JTSA) has raised concerns over the recent transfer of the Superintendent of Police in Kamjong district, accusing the Manipur government of selective action.

The Jharkhand Tribal Students Association (JTSA) issued a statement on Thursday questioning the recent transfer of the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kamjong district in Manipur. The organization said the move appears to be part of a pattern of selective administrative actions taken by the state government.

According to the JTSA, the decision to relocate the Kamjong SP was announced without prior consultation with local stakeholders, raising doubts about the motives behind the transfer. The association urged the Manipur government to provide a clear justification for the posting change.

State officials, however, have not yet responded to the JTSA's allegations. The matter is expected to be discussed in the upcoming session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, where opposition parties have also signaled their intent to scrutinise the decision.

The controversy adds to growing concerns among civil society groups about perceived bias in administrative appointments across the state, especially in sensitive border districts like Kamjong.
