Indian security forces carried out a joint search operation along the Samba border in Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday, aiming to detect and dismantle infiltration routes.
The operation involved the Indian Army, Border Security Force and local police units, who combed the area for tunnels, weapons caches and other illicit material.
Officials said the sweep was part of a broader effort to tighten surveillance on the sensitive frontier and prevent cross‑border incursions.
The forces reported that no major threats were found, but several suspicious items were seized and the area is now under increased monitoring.
"We are committed to ensuring the safety of our citizens in this region," a senior officer remarked.
