Jodhpur Faces Four-Day Water Cut for Half the City

Residents in half of Jodhpur will experience a four‑day water shutdown starting today, with the municipal water schedule altered to accommodate the cut. Power supply will also be interrupted for three hours each day.
The Jodhpur Municipal Corporation announced that water supply to approximately 50% of the city will be halted for four days, beginning today. The shutdown is part of a planned maintenance and water conservation effort, and the usual supply timetable will be adjusted during this period.
Affected areas include several residential colonies and commercial zones in the western and northern parts of the city. Residents have been advised to store sufficient water for daily needs and to use alternative sources where possible.
In addition to the water cut, the power distribution company will impose a three‑hour outage each day to facilitate maintenance work on the grid. The electricity interruption is scheduled between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
Officials have urged the public to plan ahead and to report any emergencies to the municipal helpline. The water and power services are expected to resume normal operations after the four‑day period.
