The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union announced a screening of the documentary ‘Palestine 36’ at the ongoing protest site on campus today.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) said a screening of the documentary "Palestine 36" will be held today at the protest site on the JNU campus. The event is scheduled amid the student-led demonstrations that began earlier this week.
The film, which traces the 36‑year conflict in Palestine, was chosen to underline themes of international solidarity that resonate with the demonstrators. Organisers said the screening is intended to inform participants about global struggles and foster dialogue.
University officials have not issued an official comment on the screening. Campus police are overseeing security arrangements to ensure the gathering remains peaceful.
The protest, originally sparked by campus policy concerns, has attracted support from various student groups and some faculty members, and the screening is expected to draw a sizable audience from among the demonstrators.
