Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat, announced that the state police will step up operations against individuals alleged to support terrorism.

In a recent briefing, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat said the Jammu and Kashmir police are preparing a focused operation against persons suspected of providing material or logistical support to terrorist groups. He emphasized that the crackdown will target networks that facilitate recruitment, funding or propaganda for militancy in the region.

The police plan includes intensified surveillance, swift registration of cases, and the use of existing anti‑terrorism statutes to arrest and prosecute offenders. Authorities will coordinate with intelligence agencies to identify suspects and dismantle support structures across the valley.

The announcement comes amid continued security concerns in the state, where sporadic incidents of violence and infiltration have kept law‑enforcement agencies on high alert. Officials reiterated that any individual found aiding terror activities will face the full force of the law, underscoring the government’s zero‑tolerance stance.

While specific operational details were not disclosed, the DGP assured the public that the measures aim to restore peace and deter any resurgence of extremist influence in Jammu and Kashmir.
