J&K Police Raid Over 20 Sites in Sopore Amid Jamaat‑E‑Islami UAPA Investigation

Earlier this week, Jammu & Kashmir police carried out searches at more than 20 sites in Sopore as part of a Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act probe into the Jamaat‑E‑Islami organisation. The operation, led by the state police’s special task force, targeted residential and commercial premises suspected of harbouring evidence related to the group. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are still gathering material. No arrests were reported during the searches.
