Police officers and court personnel in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have undergone training to familiarize themselves with the recently enacted criminal laws.

Police officers and court officials across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have completed a series of training sessions aimed at familiarising them with the newly introduced criminal laws. The workshops, conducted at various police stations and courtrooms, covered key provisions and procedural changes intended to streamline law‑enforcement and judicial processes.

The training initiative was launched by the Union Government as part of a broader effort to ensure uniform implementation of criminal legislation across the Union Territories. Participants included senior police officers, constables, and judges, all of whom received guidance on how to apply the new legal framework in their day‑to‑day duties.

Officials noted that the sessions would help reduce delays in criminal proceedings and improve compliance with the updated statutes. The training is expected to be followed by periodic refresher courses to keep personnel abreast of any further amendments.
