J&K, Ladakh Get Rs 240 Cr Under BharatNet

The BharatNet project has been a significant initiative by the Indian government to improve digital infrastructure across the country. In Jammu and Kashmir, and the newly formed union territory of Ladakh, this project has seen a substantial investment of Rs 240.16 crore over the last three years. The primary goal of this investment is to expand and strengthen the broadband network, thereby enhancing internet accessibility and promoting digital inclusion in these regions. By doing so, the government aims to bridge the digital divide and foster economic growth through better connectivity.
