The Jammu and Kashmir government has relieved a Senior Superintendent of Police to join the National Investigation Agency as Superintendent of Police on deputation.
The Jammu and Kashmir government has formally relieved a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) from current duties to enable the officer to join the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The officer will serve as Superintendent of Police (SP) on deputation with the central agency.
The administrative move clears the way for the officer's transition from the Union Territory's police cadre to the NIA, which handles terror-related and other serious national security cases. Deputation arrangements of this nature are part of routine inter-agency cooperation between state and central forces.
