The Jammu and Kashmir administration announced that a No Objection Certificate for solvent order licences will be issued within 30 days of application, aiming to speed up approvals.
The state government of Jammu and Kashmir issued a directive that any request for a solvent order licence must receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) within a maximum of thirty days from the date of submission.
The measure, conveyed through an official press release, seeks to eliminate prolonged waiting periods that have traditionally hampered industrial and commercial activities requiring solvent handling permits.
Officials said the streamlined timeline is expected to improve the business climate, attract investment in sectors such as manufacturing and chemicals, and ensure compliance with safety standards without unnecessary bureaucratic delay.
The Industries Department will monitor compliance and has instructed subordinate offices to adhere strictly to the stipulated timeframe.
