J&K DGP Inspects Security Measures Ahead of Independence Day Celebrations

The Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir visited key locations across the state on Monday to assess the readiness of security forces for the Independence Day celebrations on 15 August. He met with senior police officials, the army, and paramilitary units to coordinate crowd control, surveillance, and emergency response plans. The DGP emphasized the importance of maintaining public order, especially in areas with high tourist footfall and sensitive sites. Additional personnel will be deployed at major checkpoints, and special rapid response teams will be on standby.
