Chief Minister Omar has called on businesses to establish GCCs in Jammu & Kashmir, asserting that the state's perception challenges are rooted in the past, not the present.
In a recent address, Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar urged private enterprises to set up Government Corporate Centers (GCCs) within the Union Territory, aiming to boost local economic activity and create jobs.
The CM highlighted that establishing GCCs would provide a platform for businesses to engage with the government, streamline approvals, and tap into the region's untapped potential.
Omar also addressed concerns over the state's image, stating that the perception problem is a legacy issue stemming from past conflicts and administrative challenges, and that the current administration is focused on fostering a positive environment for investment.
The invitation comes as part of a broader strategy to attract investment and improve infrastructure, with the government pledging support for firms that set up GCCs, including assistance with land acquisition and regulatory facilitation.
