J&K Bank and the Census Directorate of India have signed a pioneering Memorandum of Understanding to enhance public awareness for the forthcoming 2027 Census.
Recently, J&K Bank and the Census Directorate of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at raising awareness for the upcoming 2027 Census.
The MoU is the first of its kind, bringing together the banking sector and a central government agency to promote census participation. Under the agreement, J&K Bank will use its extensive branch network and digital platforms to disseminate census information and encourage citizens to complete the required forms.
In turn, the Census Directorate will provide updated guidelines, data sets, and support for outreach activities. Joint campaigns will include informational pamphlets, SMS alerts, and community workshops across the country.
The collaboration is expected to improve participation rates and ensure more accurate data collection, which is essential for effective policy planning and resource allocation.
