JioHotstar has entered the Middle East and North Africa market through a partnership with Starzplay, making Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi shows available to viewers in the region.
JioHotstar has announced a new partnership with Starzplay that will bring its streaming library to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The deal will allow subscribers in the MENA market to access a selection of Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi content that is currently exclusive to the Indian platform.
The collaboration is part of JioHotstar’s strategy to tap into the growing demand for Indian entertainment outside India. Starzplay, which already operates in several MENA countries, will host the JioHotstar catalogue on its platform, providing a seamless viewing experience for regional audiences.
JioHotstar’s library includes popular dramas, movies and original series across the four languages mentioned. The content will be available in both standard and high definition, with subtitles in Arabic and other local languages.
