Student leaders in Jharkhand have accused the Hemant Soren government of deceit after the Ranchi High Court stayed the cancellation of JPSC appointments.
The Ranchi High Court issued a stay order on the state government's decision to cancel appointments made by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), halting the move pending further hearing.
Student leaders from several colleges gathered to protest, alleging that the Soren administration deliberately misled them by announcing the cancellations and then backing down, calling it a betrayal of trust.
The government had earlier justified the cancellations by citing alleged irregularities in the selection process, but the court's intervention has paused any further action until the matter is examined in detail.
