Jandiala Police Arrest Three Suspects, Seize 1.5 kg Heroin and Two Pistols

Police in Jandiala, Punjab, detained three individuals and recovered about 1.5 kg of heroin along with two pistols, officials said.
Jandiala police announced the arrest of three suspects in a drug‑related operation on Tuesday. The raid resulted in the seizure of approximately 1.5 kilograms of heroin, a narcotic commonly trafficked across the region, as well as two handguns.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspects were apprehended after intelligence inputs pointed to a storage site in the town. The recovered weapons were handed over to the local crime branch for further forensic analysis.
The department has opened a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and is pursuing additional leads to uncover the wider network involved in the trafficking.
No injuries were reported during the operation, and the police have not disclosed the identities of the arrested individuals pending further investigation.
