Students at Jamia’s girls hostel staged a sit‑in protest after discovering insects in their meals, accusing authorities of serious negligence.
A video circulating on social media shows a disturbance inside the girls hostel of Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. The footage captures several students gathered in the dining area, visibly agitated and raising slogans.
The unrest erupted after some of the residents reported finding insects in the food served at the hostel mess. The discovery prompted the girls to halt the meal service and organize a sit‑in protest within the hostel premises.
During the protest, the students leveled serious accusations against the hostel administration, alleging negligence in food quality control and demanding immediate corrective action to safeguard their health.
