Jal Jeevan Mission Completes Drinking Water Projects in Multiple Villages, Delivering Clean Water to Rural Residents
Pending drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission have been completed in several villages across the state, ensuring a reliable supply of safe water for rural communities.
The state government announced that pending drinking water projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) have been successfully completed in a number of villages, providing clean and safe water to rural households.
The Jal Jeevan Mission, launched by the central government, aims to provide functional tap water connections to every rural dwelling by 2024. The recent completions address long‑standing gaps in water infrastructure in the affected villages.
Residents in the newly serviced villages now have access to treated water directly from household taps, reducing dependence on traditional sources such as wells and hand‑pumps. Local officials said the initiative is expected to improve health outcomes and reduce water‑borne diseases.
Authorities indicated that monitoring will continue to ensure the sustainability of the supply and that additional villages are slated for similar upgrades in the coming months.
