Jaipur’s district collector, Mesha Niyak, took a scooter out after dark to the Parakote area of the city. The late‑night visit was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of the municipal cleaning programme in that locality.
During the inspection the collector examined the condition of open drains, observed the operations of night‑time cleaning crews, and checked how commercial establishments were managing their waste. In addition, Niyak gathered information on preparations being made for upcoming elections, which are expected to influence civic activities in the area.
The on‑ground assessment reflects the administration’s effort to ensure that basic sanitation services remain functional even during off‑peak hours, and to address any gaps before the election season intensifies.
Local officials said the findings will be fed back to the municipal corporation for immediate corrective action where needed.
