Police in Jaipur have apprehended Prakash Bharadwaj and Nisha Bharadwaj, fugitives in a high‑profile bank fraud, ending an eight‑year chase.

Police in Jaipur announced the arrest of Prakash Bharadwaj and Nisha Bharadwaj, who had been on the run for eight years in connection with a notorious bank fraud case. The duo was taken into custody after a coordinated operation by local law‑enforcement agencies.
The fraud, which involved the creation of fake documents and the manipulation of thirteen loan accounts, shocked the state's financial sector when it first emerged. Authorities had offered a reward of ₹10,000 for information leading to each suspect's capture.
Following the arrests, investigators said they would continue to probe the wider network behind the scheme, focusing on recovering the misappropriated funds and filing additional charges against any accomplices.
