Jailer 2 Tops Baahubali 2, Sets New Record as Kerala’s Biggest Non‑Malayalam Film

Jailer 2 has emerged as the top‑earning non‑Malayalam film in Kerala, surpassing the long‑standing benchmark set by Baahubali 2. The achievement ends a nine‑year run during which Baahubali 2 held the record for the highest box‑office collection among non‑Malayalam releases in the state. Industry sources confirm that Jailer 2’s earnings in Kerala now exceed those of its predecessor, establishing a new commercial high point. The milestone highlights the growing acceptance of films from other South Indian languages among Kerala audiences. Film distributors and theatre owners have welcomed the result, noting the strong footfall and positive word‑of‑mouth that propelled the film’s performance.
