Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' is approaching the box office record set by Vijay's 'The GOAT' in Tamil Nadu on its 19th day of release.
The box office performance of Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' continues to be a major talking point in the Indian film industry. As the film enters its 19th day of theatrical release, trade analysts indicate that it is steadily closing the gap with the record held by Vijay's 'The GOAT' in the Tamil Nadu market.
This trajectory highlights the sustained audience interest in the sequel, which has managed to maintain strong collections despite the presence of other releases. The proximity to the previous benchmark set by 'The GOAT' suggests that 'Jailer 2' is on track to become one of the highest-grossing films in the region's history.
The competition between these two major Tamil cinema stars has intensified, with 'Jailer 2' now poised to potentially surpass or match the financial milestones established by its predecessor in the franchise's competitive landscape. Industry observers are closely monitoring the daily collections to see if this trend continues into the next phase of its run.
