Police in Jabalpur have arrested the 30‑thousand‑rupee wanted killer Adil after a search of his house, seizing 23 mobile phones and a cache of illegal firearms.
Police in Jabalpur carried out a raid on a house in the city’s outskirts, where they apprehended Adil, a suspect wanted for a murder that had earned him a 30,000‑rupee bounty. The arrest followed a tip that the suspect was hiding in a storage cupboard.
During the search, officers seized 23 mobile phones, several of which were linked to the suspect’s criminal network. In addition, a large cache of illegal weapons was recovered, including two domestic pistols, a revolver, a 12‑bore shotgun, a 315‑bore shotgun, a rusted shotgun, two air guns, a sword, a stick, and a knife.
The police said the weapons were stored in a concealed compartment of the house, indicating the suspect’s intent to arm himself for future crimes.
Jabalpur Police Commissioner stated that the operation was part of a broader crackdown on armed criminal gangs in the region, and that the seized items will be used as evidence in forthcoming trials.
