Jabalpur: Family Demands ₹10 Lakh as Paras Yadav Dies in Devi Jagran Clash; Six Arrested

Paras Yadav died while receiving treatment after being injured in a clash during a Devi Jagran event in Gokulpur, Jabalpur. His relatives staged a protest demanding a compensation of ₹10 lakh, while six suspects were arrested and the accused’s illegal structures were demolished.
A violent dispute broke out during a Devi Jagran gathering in Azad Nagar, Gokulpur, Jabalpur, leaving several participants injured. One of the victims, Paras Yadav, was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries while under medical care.
Following his death, family members and close relatives gathered outside the hospital and the police station, demanding a compensation of ten lakh rupees from the authorities. The protest drew attention from local residents and media outlets.
Police officials responded by arresting six individuals, including the primary accused identified in the clash. In a separate operation, a bulldozer was deployed to raze structures that had been flagged as illegal and linked to the main suspect.
Authorities said the investigations are ongoing and that further action will be taken based on the findings of the forensic and legal inquiries.
