Iranian social media accounts posted a clip from a Telugu action movie mocking U.S. President Donald Trump, alleging he watches Bollywood films more than Hollywood productions.
Iranian online users circulated a short video taken from a popular Telugu‑language action film, inserting captions that ridicule President Donald Trump. The clip juxtaposes the film’s high‑octane fight scenes with a sarcastic remark that the U.S. leader prefers Bollywood entertainment over Hollywood cinema.
The post, which quickly went viral on platforms such as Twitter and Telegram, was framed as a tongue‑in‑cheek rebuke of Trump’s recent comments on Indian cinema. It reflects a broader pattern of Iran‑linked digital accounts using pop‑culture references to comment on geopolitical rivals.
While the video carries no official endorsement from the Iranian government, analysts note that such meme‑driven tactics aim to shape public perception and underscore cultural soft‑power rivalries between Tehran and Washington.
