Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has commissioned a 150 kW rooftop solar power system at its Guwahati facility. The plant is expected to significantly contribute to the facility's energy requirements and lead to substantial cost savings.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has enhanced its operational efficiency by installing a 150-kilowatt rooftop solar power system at its facility in Guwahati. This significant move towards renewable energy aims to meet a substantial portion of the facility's daily energy demands.

The newly installed solar plant is projected to generate approximately 2,05,200 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. This clean energy generation is expected to result in considerable financial benefits, with estimated annual savings of around Rs 13.8 lakh.

Furthermore, the investment in this solar infrastructure is anticipated to yield a return within a period of 4 to 5 years, underscoring the economic viability of the project. This initiative aligns with broader goals of promoting sustainable energy practices within the public sector.
