Delhi’s law‑enforcement agencies have placed extensive security measures around the city as the BRICS leaders gather for the summit, with police and paramilitary units maintaining a heightened presence.
Video footage captured on the streets of Delhi shows a dense network of police personnel, paramilitary troops and mobile checkpoints as the city prepares to host the BRICS summit. The forces are stationed at major entry points, near government buildings and along routes expected to be used by the visiting heads of state.
Authorities have also deployed surveillance drones and closed certain roads to civilian traffic to minimise any security breach. The heightened alert is aimed at safeguarding the delegates and preventing any untoward incident during the high‑profile meeting.
So far, officials have reported no security incidents, and the extensive deployment underscores the government's commitment to a smooth and safe summit in the capital.
