Police in Madhya Pradesh say a friendship formed on Instagram turned fatal when a young man was bludgeoned with stones and his body dumped in a forest, the case solved within 48 hours.
Police investigators in Madhya Pradesh disclosed that a young man was brutally killed after being pelted with stones and his remains were later discovered in a dense forest area. The victim and the alleged perpetrator had initially connected through Instagram, where they exchanged messages and developed a friendship.
The forensic team recovered the body and identified the cause of death as multiple blunt‑force injuries consistent with stone‑induced trauma. Within 48 hours of the complaint, the police traced the suspect, arrested him, and recovered the weaponised stones used in the assault.
Authorities emphasized that the motive stemmed from a personal dispute that escalated after the online interaction, underscoring the potential dangers of unverified relationships on social media platforms.
