Inmate Ajit (Baniya) Attacks Guard During Meal Distribution at Dholpur Jail

During a routine food serving at Dholpur district jail, inmate Ajit alias Baniya assaulted jail guard Nareesh, injuring his hand, after a clash with fellow prisoners.
During a regular meal distribution at the Dholpur district jail in Rajasthan, an inmate known as Ajit, also referred to as Baniya, became involved in a confrontation with other prisoners. The dispute quickly escalated, prompting jail officials to intervene.
According to the jail's internal report, guard Nareesh arrived at the scene to separate the inmates. Ajit allegedly assaulted the guard, striking him and then cutting the guard's hand with a sharp object.
The incident left the guard with a hand injury that required medical attention. Ajit, who is already listed as an accused in 21 criminal cases, is now facing additional charges related to the assault on a prison officer.
Jail authorities have launched an internal inquiry and are reviewing security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future. The case has been handed over to the local police for further investigation.
