Indore, Madhya Pradesh – On a sunny afternoon, BJP president Nitish Nain arrived in Indore to launch a government initiative that will provide free land registration to 5 million residents across the state. The ceremony was attended by local officials and community leaders.
Under the scheme, eligible landowners will receive title deeds without paying the usual stamp duty, which has traditionally cost thousands of rupees. The move is expected to formalise ownership for thousands of families who previously lacked proper documentation.
The state government has said the program will be rolled out over the next six months, with registration centers set up in all districts. Beneficiaries will need to submit basic documents, after which the land title will be issued at no cost.
Nitish Nain highlighted that the initiative aligns with the party’s promise to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and empower citizens. He urged residents to take advantage of the free service and secure their property rights.
