Indore pushes bus and bicycle travel on No Car Day

Indore marked No Car Day with a focused initiative aimed at reducing private vehicle use. The city administration organised a public awareness drive that highlighted the benefits of using buses and bicycles for everyday travel. Officials set up information booths at major transit points and distributed leaflets explaining how these modes can cut congestion and pollution.

The campaign also featured a short demonstration where volunteers rode bicycles along key city routes, showcasing safe riding practices. Bus operators were encouraged to increase frequency on popular corridors to accommodate the expected shift in commuter preferences.
